HOW TO MAKE DIT DA JOW

Additionally, the use of certain herbs and ingredients may be subject to regional regulations or restrictions. Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle (about 750 ml) of high-proof grain alcohol (such as rice wine or vodka)
  • A combination of Chinese herbs (often available in dried form), which can include but are not limited to:
    • Myrrh
    • Frankincense
    • Dragon’s blood resin
    • Safflower
    • Chinese cinnamon (cassia)
    • White willow bark
    • Angelica root
    • Licorice root
    • Szechuan lovage root

    • Chinese skullcap (Huang Qin)

  5. Strain and Store: After the desired steeping period, strain the liquid through a fine mesh or cheesecloth to remove the herbal solids, leaving only the liquid liniment.
  6. Bottle and Label: Transfer the liquid to smaller glass bottles with tight-sealing lids. Label each bottle with the date of preparation and the ingredients used.
  7. Application: Apply the Dit Da Jow topically to areas of the body that need pain relief, healing, or conditioning. Use as needed, but avoid using it on open wounds or broken skin.

Remember that Dit Da Jow is a potent liniment, and its ingredients can vary significantly.
